Some Study Tips

Many of you have asked how to study effectively for this course. My first response is always to do all the readings and attend all the lectures. But there's much more to effective studying, as you might already know. A few years ago a graduate student in our department compiled a list of study tips from a number of sources (primarily from the introductory textbook written by the psychologist David Myers) that are grounded in the psychology of learning. I think they're exactly right. With his permission, I've posted them here for the students of Psych 1101 (and the rest of the world):
